This 10 Days Uganda and Rwanda tour offers you an exceptional experience at the most popular locations in both countries. The highlight is mountain gorilla trekking safari. You will get to meet both Uganda and Rwanda gorillas in Bwindi Forest National Park and Volcanoes National Park respectively.

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

On the first day of 10 days Uganda and Rwanda tour. Upon your arrival, a guide from our company will meet you at Entebbe airport, or from your hotel together with your driver / guide, welcome you and brief you about the safari and after embark on your journey to Murchison falls national park. En-route, you may go for a visit to Ziwa rhino sanctuary and have lunch in Masindi town. After lunch you will proceed to the top of the falls upon entering the park via the Kichumbanyobo gate, and then continue on to the lodge. For dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise.

On the second day of 10 days Uganda and Rwanda tour. After a hearty breakfast in the early morning, you’ll go on a game drive to see a variety of animals, including as lions, giraffes, elephants, and Uganda Kobs. After the game drive you will go back to the lodge and take lunch. You will have a launch cruise on the park’s most popular tourist destination in the afternoon, which is the distinctive Murchison Falls. You will also see the River Nile, with its arrays of crocodiles along the sandbanks, hippopotamuses, and several other beautiful bird  species coming down to drink and bathe. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison Lodge as above.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale national park.

On the third day of 10 days Uganda and Rwanda tour. After an early breakfast, check out and meet your safari guide and you will travel to Kibale Forest National Park, stopping for lunch at Hoima or Kagadi along the way. This is a full day drive and you will Kibale in the evening and proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.

On the fourth day of 10 days Uganda and Rwanda tour. After an early breakfast check out from your lodge, meet your safari guide and go to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning the chimpanzee trekking process. Go into the Kibale forest and look for the happy families of chimpanzees. It’s an exciting experience to track chimpanzees in their natural environment, as they hang from branches high above the forest floor.

The forest is filled with their loud shouts, so even if they might be hard to notice, you will always know they are there. This will take between thirty minutes to four hours and once the chimpanzees are located you will spend one hour in the presence of the chimpanzees  as you watch them feed, play, groom and among others. You will be taken to Queen Elizabeth National Park following trekking, where you will stop at the Amebere Ganyinamwiru stalagmites site to see the waterfall and caverns. You will also get to see the crater lakes, which offer a breathtaking vista of the Rwenzori Mountains. Arrive in the evening to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon your arrival you will check into your lodge and dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 5: Game Drive & Launch Cruise – Queen Elizabeth.

On the fifth day of 10 days Uganda and Rwanda tour. After a leisurely breakfast, head to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an early morning game drive. There, you’ll see a variety of animals, including African elephants, buffalo, antelopes, and impala, in addition to a large number of birds. Drive to the Mweya peninsular where you will have lunch. Take a launch cruise in the afternoon in Queen Elizabeth Park’s Kazinga Channel, where you can get up close and personal with crocodiles, hippos, and other aquatic animals in addition to a variety of birds that inhabit the area. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight after the launch cruise.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

On the sixth day of 10 days Uganda and Rwanda tour. After a hearty breakfast, go south of Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector on your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you may be fortunate enough to spot tree-climbing lions. Proceed to Bwindi with lunch en-route in Kabale town with marvelous landscape views of beautiful hills and attractive roads. Upon your arrival check into your lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi.

On the seventh day of 10 days Uganda and Rwanda tour. Before starting your gorilla trek, have an early breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing from the ranger guides about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking. Trek through the forest till you come to the gorillas. Gorilla trekking in Uganda might take anywhere from thirty minutes to six hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements. You have just one hour to discover the gorillas in Bwindi before you have to head back. You’ll be driven back to the lodge by your driver/guide so you may unwind and stay another night at the lodge.

Day 8: Transfer to Ruhengeri (Musanze).

On the eighth day of 10 days Uganda and Rwanda tour. After a leisurely breakfast, go to Ruhengeri by crossing the border into either Cyanika or Katuna with the lunch enroute and then proceed with your journey to Ruhengeri. You will arrive in Ruhengeri in the evening. Upon your arrival you will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 9: Gorilla / Golden Monkey Trekking & Transfer to Bwindi.

On the ninth day of 10 days Uganda and Rwanda tour. Wake up to an early breakfast and depart with your lunch packs to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of Rwanda gorilla trekking. Later, hunt for the gentle giants by heading into Volcanoes National Park’s highlands and bamboo slopes. Depending on the gorillas’ movements, a gorilla trekking experience in Rwanda might last anywhere from thirty minutes to six hours.

Once you locate the gorillas, you will have a maximum of one hour to observe and take pictures of them as they go about their daily lives in the forest, completely oblivious to onlookers. After the trek, return to the starting point or another point of assembly where you will be awarded your certificate. Meet your guides and transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at lodge as above.

Day 10: Transfer to Kigali & Departure.

On the tenth day of 10 days Uganda and Rwanda tour. Wake early in the morning and have a delicious breakfast, check out from your lodge and depart Ruhengeri to Kigali city where you will have a brief city tour and transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
