Detailed Itinerary.

 Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kampala. 

On the first day of your 13-day safari through Uganda’s primates and animals, a representative guide from our company will pick you up at Entebbe International Airport and drive you to Kampala, where you will check in at any lodge, have a leisurely lunch and then go out on a Kampala nighttime city tour. After finishing your city tour, head back to the lodge for dinner and a night’s rest. Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls park.

 On the second day of your 13-day safari through Uganda’s primates and animals, you’ll wake up, eat breakfast in Kampala, and then check out from the lodge and then prepare to head to Murchison Falls National Park. You will make a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to see the white rhinos, and then you will make another stop in Masindi town for lunch before continuing to the Murchison Falls Park, where you will enter from the top of the falls for an unforgettable safari experience. After finishing your exploration of the top of the falls, you will travel right to the lodge to check in, eat dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Morning game drive and evening boat cruise. 

On the third day of your 13-day safari to Uganda’s primates and wildlife, you must get up early for breakfast before meeting with your driver to begin an early-morning game drive where you will see a number of mammals to top off your sightings of the big five animals. Among the other mammals seen are the Uganda Kobs, warthogs, and forest hogs. A few nocturnal mammals and hunters should be seen on the early morning game drive before they head back to their lairs.

After your game drive, head back to the lodge for lunch before going on an evening boat trip where you can see several crocodiles and hippos that are snoring. Additionally, you will be able to see many wildlife species as they hydrate and quench their thirst along the shoreline. You can choose to spend the 45-minute climb to the top of the falls after the boat tour or just head back to the shoreline and take the drive to the lodge for dinner and the overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park and do a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary 

On the fourth day of your 13-day safari through Uganda’s primates and wildlife, you’ll get up, have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet your driver to begin the trip to Kibale Forest National Park, which is home to 13 different kinds of monkeys. Along the way to will sight the magnificent crater lakes towards reaching the Kibale. After arriving in Kibale National Park, check in at the lodge for lunch before going on a Bigodi nature walk in the late afternoon.

After taking lunch meet your safari guide for the nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary. During the nature walks, it’s likely that you’ll see a variety of primate species, including monkeys, as well as several plant and bird species that live in the Bigodi Wetland. After the nature walk you will go to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking. 

 On the fifth day of your 13-day safari through Uganda’s primates and wildlife, you’ll get up early, eat breakfast, and get packed lunch before meeting the driver for a ride to the park headquarters, where you’ll receive a briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during chimpanzee trekking, before setting out on an exciting adventure that includes spending an hour with chimpanzees. While doing chimpanzee trekking, you will have the opportunity to see a variety of other primates, animals, birds, and other wildlife in the park. Chimpanzee trekking takes a period of 30 minutes to 4 hours depending to where the chimpanzees are located and once the chimpanzees are located you spend one hour in the presence of the chimpanzees, in that one hour you will watch the chimpanzees feed, play, groom, taking them pictures, recording videos and others after the activity go back to the starting point to get chimpanzee trekking certificate for taking part in the activity. Return to the lodge after your chimpanzee trekking experience to freshen up before your evening tour of the crater lakes. After exploring the crater lakes return back to the lodge for dinner, overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

On the sixth day of your 13-day Uganda primate and wildlife safari, you’ll wake up, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge and travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park. When you get there, you’ll check in your lodge and have lunch and go on an evening game drive through the Mweya Peninsula to spot the park’s incredible animal species like the elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs and among others, without forgetting sighting the beautiful bird species like the cattle egrets, raptors, Hammerkops, Pied crow and many others. After the evening game drive return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Morning game drive and Evening boat cruise. 

On the seventh day of your 13-day safari to Uganda’s monkeys and wildlife, get up early in the morning and be served with delicious breakfast, meet your safari guide for a morning game drive you get another excellent chance to see a variety of animals and primates in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The Kasenyi plain, which has a significant concentration of mammals in the park, will be the location of the morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the park, you can see mammals including herbivores, carnivores, hunters, and several bird species.

After your morning game drive, head back to the lodge for lunch before leaving at 2:00 p.m. On your boat cruise excursion, which will take you past hippos and crocodiles as well as several creatures that are grazing on new foliage and quenching their thirst along the banks. Return to the lodge for dinner and the overnight stay.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park.   

On the eighth day of your 13-day Uganda primate and wildlife safari, you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge with your packed lunch and go on a game drive in the Ishasha sector in search of the tree-climbing lions as they lazily observe their prey, the Uganda Kob.

After the drive, eat the lunch you brought, then continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is home to more than half of the remaining wild mountain gorilla population. Along the way, you will spot the spectacular landscape of the area in Kabale with beautiful hills. When you get to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you check in to the lodge where you’ll have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park.

In order to experience the most fascinating activity on your itinerary gorilla trekking you must rise as early as possible on day nine of your 13-day Uganda primate and wildlife safari, eat breakfast, pack a lunch, and meet with the driver for a ride to the park headquarters. Drive to the park’s main office to receive instructions on what to do and not do while trekking with mountain gorillas. Once the porters have been hired, the walk to see the powerful mountain gorillas in the wild may begin. Gorilla trekking takes a period of 30 minutes to 4 hours, to look for the gorillas, along the way you will spot the attractive animal species, bird species and plant species. And once the gorillas are found you will spend a period of one hour in the presence of the gorillas while watching them play, feed, taking their pictures, recording their videos. You can choose to go on an evening community walk after your gorilla trek, where you’ll meet the local Bakiga and the Batwa of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Then, you can return to the lodge for dinner and the overnight stay.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale district. 

On the tenth day of your 13-day Uganda primate and wildlife safari, you’ll wake up, eat a leisurely breakfast and check out of the lodge to catch a drive to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale area with your safari driver. Upon your arrival check into the lodge for lunch where you’ll be arriving during lunchtime. It is well known that Lake Bunyonyi is the second-deepest lake in Africa.  The tenth day of your safari will be spent travelling along this body of pure water as you search out various mammal and bird species along Lake Bunyonyi’s shoreline. While paddling on dugout canoes, you will have the opportunity to explore some of the 28 islands that are located on Lake Bunyonyi. After return to your lodge for dinner, evening relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park.

On the eleventh day of your 13-day safari through Uganda’s primates and wildlife safari, you will have an early breakfast, check out of the hotel and meet your driver to begin the trip to Lake Mburo National Park. You will stop in Mbarara for lunch at the Igongo Cultural Lodge before continuing on to the Lake Mburo National Park, where you will arrive in the evening, check into the lodge and go on an evening game drive to spot the amazing wildlife in the park. After the game drive return to the lodge for dinner and the overnight stay.

Day 12: Morning game drive and evening boat cruise. 

On day 12 of a 13-day safari to see primates and wildlife in Uganda, you must get up early, eat breakfast, and meet the driver for a game drive inside the park.  You will see a variety of park mammals while on the game drive like genets, hyenas, leopards, African buffaloes, civets, jackals, serval cats, zebras, impalas, warthog, Rothschild giraffes and among others including bird species.

After the morning game drive, head back to the lodge for lunch before setting out on a boat safari on Lake Mburo to see many different water birds and creatures along the lake, hippopotamus and among many others. After the boat cruise return to the lodge for dinner, evening relaxation, and overnight stay.

Day 13: Return to Kampala / Entebbe for departures. 

Today is the last day of your 13-day primates and wildlife safari in Uganda. All you need to do is wake up early, eat a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet the driver to begin your journey back to Kampala with a stopover in Kayabwe, which is located at the equator, for some breathtaking photos and an unforgettable experience and lunch. Drive directly to Kampala after lunch, then proceed to the airport to catch your flight.
