Day 1: Transfer to volcanoes national park.

On day one of your 2 days Mount Bisoke hike, depending on where you are either in Kigali city or Kigali international airport where you will have an attractive briefing session of your safari, anticipate the most memorable safari, during the briefing session, you will get to know the different activities that you will get to participate in, the rules and regulations to follow during your safari among other memorable activities. After the briefing, you will take part in a tour of Kigali that will allow you to explore the city and gain an understanding of Rwandan culture. You will see how the people of Rwanda go about their daily lives as you visit the oldest market in the country, Kimironko Market. After your tour of the market, you will also get to see the Presidential Palace, which provides a great overview of the genocide in Rwanda. Finally, you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum, which is another significant site pertaining to the genocide. Here, you can explore various exhibition areas that will provide you with additional information about the genocide and its effects on the people of Rwanda. Enjoy a fantastic experience as the Kigali tour comes to a conclusion while indulging in some of the best Rwandan food available at one of Kigali City’s best restaurants. After the tour you will make your way to volcanoes national park to where you will check in your lodge. After your enjoyable nature walk in the park in the evening, where you may witness many bird species and ape species dangling from tree branches, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay while you wait for the next day’s activities.

Day 2: Mount Bisoke hike and departure.

On day two of your 2 days Mount Bisoke hike, get up early in the morning and take breakfast, after an early morning breakfast at your lodge, you will transfer back to the park headquarters where you will be taken to where you will take through a briefing session of your hike, after the session you will begin your hike. The hike will also give you the opportunity to see the largest Crater Lake in Lake Bisoke, home to numerous endemic bird and butterfly species found in the Albertine Rift. Dian Fossey established Karisoke Research Centre to study mountain gorillas, primates, including vervet and dent’s monkeys, black and colobus monkeys, and many more species of birds and herons. You will head back to your starting point in the park where you will be transferred to Kigali city for lunch and you will be dropped off at a location of your preference in Kigali City or Kigali International Airport and the end of your 2 days Mount Bisoke Hike.
