3 Days fly in Uganda Gorilla Habituation Experience : This three-day fly-in gorilla habituation trip will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park’s misty jungle, where you’ll have the chance to interact with endangered mountain gorillas while they’re going through the habituation process. On your Uganda safari, you can see a variety of wildlife species at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, including 120 mammals like forest elephants and antelopes, over 400 mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, and golden monkeys, about 350 bird species, including 23 endemics to the Albertine Rift, and various plant and tree species.

Detailed itineraryÂ
Day 1: Pick up and fly to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
On the first day of the three-day fly-in gorilla habituation experience, you safari guide will welcome you and take you to Entebbe International Airport for your domestic flight to Kihihi or Kisoro airstrips. Domestic flights to Kihihi airstrip leave the Entebbe airport at 7:00 am, 10:15 am, and 12:00 pm, but flights to Kisoro airstrip only leave the airport in the morning at roughly 7:00 am and 8:25 am. Your driver guide will meet you at Kihihi or Kisoro airfield upon arrival and transport you to the lodge and then check in for lunch and relaxation. After lunch, you can take an optional cultural excursion and see the Batwa who reside in the nearby neighborhood. This is where you can learn about the Batwa way of life during the cultural tour, including how they used to live in the forest before it was gazetted as a national park. You can also visit their homesteads and farms, learn how to cook local dishes, and take in their traditional songs and dances. After you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi impenetrable national park.
On the second day of the 3 Days fly in Uganda Gorilla Habituation Experience, you will wake up early in the morning and take a relaxed breakfast, together you will carry a packed lunch from the lodge and meet your driver guide to proceed to the park headquarters for a gorilla habituation briefing. In Rushaga sector, which is located in southernmost region of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, gorilla habituation experiences are conducted. A maximum of 4 visitors are permitted to each gorilla family during a habituation experience. After the briefing, you will trek through the jungle in search of a gorilla family with a group of researchers, scientists, park rangers, guides, and gorilla physicians. A full day is required for the gorilla habituation experience in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. While trekking, you can see a wide variety of birds, different plant and animal species, forest elephants, buffaloes, duikers, chimpanzees, L’Hoest’s monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and other wildlife species and other primates. Once the mountain gorillas have been located, you will be given four hours to spend with them in their natural environment. During this time, you will have the chance to observe their habits, lifestyle, and behaviors as well as watch them feed, play, breastfeed, and groom young ones. You will also have the chance to take pictures and record videos to share with others once the safari is over. Once you’ve spent interesting hours with the mountain gorillas, you’ll trek back to the park’s headquarters, where you’ll receive a certificate for taking part in the gorilla habituation experience. Then, you’ll meet your driver guide and get back to the lodge for the evening’s leisure, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 3: Departure flight to Kampala/ Entebbe.Â
On the final day of the three-day fly-in gorilla habituation experience, you will wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast and check out of the lodge and meet your driver guide to drive to Kihihi or Kisoro airstrips for your departure flight back to Entebbe or Kampala. From there, depending on your itinerary while on your Uganda Safari, you will either catch your international flight or transfer to your hotel.
