Day 1: transfer from Nairobi to Lewa Downs Conservancy.
On the first day of 3 days Lewa Downs conservancy safari. After breakfast, your safari driver will pick you up from your lodge in Nairobi and drive you to Lewa Downs Conservancy. Along the way, you can take in the beautiful scenery and observe the locals going about their everyday lives. Once you arrival, check into your camp or lodge you will enjoy lunch before embarking on a walking safari over the Lewa plains. You may appreciate the beautiful scenery and various creatures that live in the conservancy, including Grevy’s zebras, black and white rhinos that are in risk of extinction, and many others, on this guided walking safari. You will return to your lodge after the experience, have dinner, and spend the night there.
Day 2: morning game drive and Maasai village visit. Â
On the second day of 3 days Lewa Downs Conservancy safari. Get up early in the morning and enjoy a hearty breakfast. After breakfast at your camp or lodge, meet your safari driver and depart for the conservancy for a morning game drive. From the comfort of your safari vehicle and through the open windows, you will be able to observe a variety of animals, including elephants, rhinos, cape buffaloes, lions, leopards, and many birds, including harlequin quail, hartlaub’s bustard, huna, and sitatungas. After the game drive, you’ll return to your lodge or camp for lunch. After lunch, you’ll go for a tour to the Maasai Villages that are close to the conservancy. You will enjoy and learn more about the Maasai way of life, customs, and culture during this visit by taking part in local activities including raising cattle, producing exquisite jewelry like necklaces, and watching local dances and plays. After a long day, you will be taken back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer back to Nairobi.Â
On the third day of 3 days Lewa Downs conservancy safari. Wake up, eat breakfast, and then go to the conservancy for your last game viewing experience. Morning game drive gives you the chance to see predators like lions, leopards, East African cheetahs, and many others as they come out from their hidden homes. After the game drive, you’ll head back to your lodge or camp for lunch. Then, you’ll check out and leave for Nairobi, where you’ll be dropped off at either your hotel or the airport in time for your flight home.
