3 Days Mgahinga Gorilla National Park : Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, one of the smaller parks but one of the main attractions in Uganda, is located in the southwest part of the country. It is the Ugandan park where you can search for golden monkeys and mountain gorillas, two critically endangered species. The various gorilla families that are not found in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park are found in Mgahinga National Park, which also features some of the finest game, including as buffalos, forest elephants, leopards, jackals, bush pigs, duikers, and bushbucks. The park’s birdlife is also fairly outstanding, with over 180 bird species identified.

  Day 1: Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.Â
On the first day of 3 days Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Your safari guide will meet you either at the Entebbe International Airport or your hotel and welcome. After he will give you a briefing about the 3 days Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Then you will embark on your journey to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park as this will take you around 9 to 10 hours while using Masaka, Mbarara, and Kabale road. Along the way you will have a stopover at Kayabwe for breakfast and equator experience. Then proceed with your journey where you will have a stopover for the lunch enroute in Kabale town, where you will taste the organic spiced food. Along the way you will observe the magnificent and beautiful landscape of the area which will make your journey the most stunning one while viewing the wonderful tree species, incredible hills and many more, you will continue with your journey utill Mgahinga where you will check into your lodge for dinner, evening relaxation and the overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.Â
On the second day of 3 days Mgahinga gorilla national park. Wake up early in the morning and be served with leisurely breakfast, together you will be given packed lunch and meet your safari guide. And then go to the headquarters to hear the park guides’ briefing. Since the habituated Nyakagezi gorilla group’s mobility is unpredictable and rangers do watch their every move, the likelihood of not finding them is low, so be sure to be water with you. After the briefing you will be divided into the group of 8 members per group together with the park ranger and experience the jungles of Mgahinga in the right trails, to look for the mountain gorillas. The activity takes along 30 minutes to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Along the way you will sight different animal species, plant species, bird species that will make your gorilla trekking the most exceptional one. And once the gorillas are found you will spend one hour with the presence of gorillas while watching their characters, watching them groom, play, and others like taking them pictures and recording their videos. Â After the one hour with the gorillas you will go back to the starting point and receive the gorilla trekking certificates for taking part in the gorilla trekking activity. And then you will meet with your guide ad return to the lodge for evening relaxation, after where you can as well do other optional activities like carrying out evening guided nature walks, or cultural tours to batwa. And later alone you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Kampala.
On the final day of 3 days Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, you will get up and be served with hearty breakfast and then check out from the lodge. After breakfast you will again embark on your journey back to Kampala. Along the way leaving the park you will be amazed by viewing the beautiful landscape, from Mgahinga, Kabale, and Ntungamo until Mbarara where you will have the enroute lunch at Igongo cultural centre and you will be served with the local course meal of your own choice that will make you feel comfortable in the place. Again you can visit the art craft shop with in the cultural centre that has got different and unique products that you buy for yourself as a souvenir and take home. You will proceed in your journey until Kampala during the evening hours where the safari guide will drop you to your place of convenience either at the Entebbe International Airport or at your hotel.
