5 days Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo wildlife safari begins and ends in Kampala, Uganda, and is a thrilling and wonderful safari. You will have the chance to interact with the critically endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat when the safari takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The safari will also take you to Lake Mburo National Park, where you can enjoy fantastic views of a variety of animals during game drives and boat cruises, including buffalo, leopards, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs, hippos, and crocodiles.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

On the first day of the five-day Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo wildlife safari, our driving guide will meet you and give you a brief introduction to the safari before setting off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will stop along the way to buy souvenirs at the Equator in Kayabwe and having equator experience through taking pictures, then continue travelling with lunch along the way at Igongo cultural centre in Mbarara where you are going to be served with the tasty and organic food. After lunch proceed the way to Bwindi with the incredible and stunning views of the landscape in Ntungamo and Kabale, and admiring the nature of the roads. When you get at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will check into the lodge where you will spend the night and have dinner.

 Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park.

On the second day of the 5-day Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo wildlife safari, you will wake up early in the morning and be served with leisurely breakfast. After bring your lunch box and meet your driver guide to transport to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations for gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will be split into eight members per group, with each group being assigned a gorilla family to walk and a park ranger with expertise in mountain gorillas. Depending on where they are, gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours. While trekking, you can also see different biodiversity in the jungle like forest birds, other primates including baboons and L’Hoest’s monkeys, as well as many plant and tree species. Once the mountain gorillas are located, you will be able to spend an hour with them, giving you the chance to learn more about their way of life, mannerisms, and habits. You may also snap their pictures, observe them as they go about their daily business, and document these amazing experiences through recording them to share with others once you get home. After the one hour you will go back to the park’s headquarters, where you will receive a certificate for taking part in gorilla trekking. You will then meet up with your guide to travel back to the lodge for an evening leisure dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park.

On the third day of your five-day Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo wildlife safari, wake up early in the morning and take a hearty breakfast, check out from your lodge and meet your driving guide there to travel to Lake Mburo, with the spectacular views along the way, along the way in Mbarara you will have lunch enroute in Mbarara before reaching Lake Mburo National Park. And once you arrive, you can choose to participate in an optional guided walking safari where you can get up close and personal with various wildlife species, listen to pleasant bird noises, and take enjoy the most conducive atmosphere of the park. After walking safari you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and the overnight stay.

Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.

On the fourth day of the five-day Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo safari will begin with an early breakfast, and after meet with your driver guide for a morning game drive. On this day, you will be rewarded with fantastic views of animals like waterbucks, elands, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, topi, and giraffes among others, all of which will be grazing in open savannah plains with dew. After the morning game drive you’ll drive back to the lodge for lunch.

You will embark on an amazing boat cruise after lunch where you can see hippos, Nile crocodiles, buffalo, waterbucks, warthogs, and various water birds including cormorants, bee-eaters, fish eagles, and bee-eaters among others. You will drive to the lodge for dinner, evening relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure to Kampala.

The final day of your 5-day Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo safari will begin with a leisurely breakfast before you check out of the lodge and meet your driver guide to begin your return trip to Kampala. You will stop along the way for lunch en route, and then continue to Kampala, and then your driver-guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or at any other location of your choice when you arrive in Kampala.
