Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Ruhengeri.
On the first day of 5 days Rwanda Uganda gorilla trekking. Your driver/guide will meet you at the Kigali international airport or at your hotel and take you to Ruhengeri in Rwanda’s Northern Province while you take in the beautiful sights of the lush countryside in the land of a thousand hills. Dinner and overnight stay at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Parc Nationale Des Volcans/ Volcanoes National Park.
On the second day of 5 days Rwanda Uganda gorilla trekking. Get up early for breakfast, then head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch, with your safari guide for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Later, after the briefing hunt for the gentle giants in the Volcanoes National Park’s hills and slopes of bamboo with the guidance of well experienced park ranger that is familiar with the park trails. Depending on the gorillas’ movements, gorilla trekking in Rwanda might last anywhere from thirty minutes to six hours with the intriguing sights of biodiversity along the way. When you locate them, you will have a maximum of an hour to watch and photograph the gorillas as they go about their daily activities in the jungle without caring who is looking. Day 3: Transfer to Kisoro – Uganda (Southern Bwindi)

On the third day of 5 days Rwanda Uganda gorilla trekking. Wake up early in the morning and be served with a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, meet your safari guide and travel to Uganda with a stopover at the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Transverse the Cyanika border to enter Uganda, arriving at Kisoro town in plenty of time for lunch. Take a break for lunch before exploring the lovely Lake Mutanda and visiting the little-known Sagitwe hill, which has a “basket” inside of it from which you can see Kisoro town, Lake Mutanda, the Virunga Mountains, and Bunagana town in the distant Congo. Â Proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
On the fourth day of 5 days Rwanda Uganda gorilla trekking. Get up early in the morning and be served with breakfast, together with your packed lunch meet your safari guide, then make your way to the park’s main office for a briefing about the rules and regulations that are carried out during gorilla trekking from the ranger guides before starting your gorilla trekking. Trekking through the forest till you come to the gorillas depends on the gorillas’ movements, trekking the mountain gorillas can take anywhere from thirty minutes to six hours with the stunning views of biodiversity along the way in the park. You will only be permitted to stay in Bwindi for an hour after locating the gorillas before you must leave. While watching the gorillas as they are doing their daily activities like playing, feeding, grooming and many others. After one hour you will be driven back to the starting point to receive the gorilla trekking certificates for participating in gorilla trekking. And then after you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner, evening relaxation and overnight stay in the above lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Kigali.
On the fifth day of 5 days Rwanda Uganda gorilla trekking. Wake up early in the morning and be enjoy a hearty breakfast, check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide and get ready back to Kigali over the Katuna border to see more of Uganda, including the Echuya Forest Reserve and sections of Lake Bunyonyi. Take a quick city tour in Kigali, visiting the genocide museum and Kimironko market. Take a break for lunch at the famed Hotel Mille Collin (where the film Hotel Rwanda was filmed), and then be dropped off at the airport to catch your journey home or any other convenient place in Kigali.
