Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Maasai Mara national reserve.

Day 2-3: Full day in Maasai Mara national reserve.

Day 4: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru national park.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Amboseli national park.

Day 6: Full day in Amboseli.

Day 7: Amboseli to Nairobi.

Detailed itinerary of 7 days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli Safari

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Maasai Mara national reserve.

On the first day of 7 days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli safari. Your guide will pick you up from your lodge in Nairobi or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and, give you a brief introduction to the safari, and then drive you to Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of the best places to see gorgeous animals in Kenya. You will stop in Narok for an encounter with the locals and at the Rift Valley View point for beautiful views of the Rift Valley while travelling through the countryside while heading to Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Once you arrive in Maasai Mara in time for lunch, you check into your lodge. Later that day, you will go on afternoon game drive to explore the reserve’s plains. A variety of species, such as lions, leopards, gazelles, elephants, warthogs, giraffes, and wildebeests, among others, can be expected and sighted including the bird species.

Day 2-3: full day in Maasai Mara national reserve.

On the second and third days of 7 days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli safari. These two safari days will be spent seeing the Maasai Mara National Park. Get up early in the morning and take breakfast. After breakfast, meet your safari guide and you’ll head to  Maasai Mara National Reserve for a full day game drive and bring your packed lunches for a picnic lunch. With a network of paths set up for game viewing, you may explore the stunning terrain.

You can observe a wide range of species during the full-day game drives, including giraffes, lions, leopards, wildebeests, gazelles, elands, African wild dogs, cheetahs, hippos and Nile crocodiles along Mara River, and a variety of birds. At one of the reserve’s picnic areas, your lunch will be served, and you can eat while watching animals as this is the best safari experience. After you will return back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation, overnight stay.

Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru national park. 

On the fourth day of your 7 days safari to the Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli safari, wake up early in the morning and take breakfast, you will check out of your lodge after breakfast, meet your safari guide and then travel to Lake Nakuru national park. When you arrive check in your lodge during lunch time and take lunch, afterwards, you’ll go on an afternoon wildlife drive. Among the species you might see on the game drive are lions, rhinos, giraffes, and elands, to name a few and various bird species from the beautiful flamingos.

Lake Nakuru national park is well-known for being home to a sizable rhino population and a dense colony of flamingos near the lake’s shore that you will spot in various numbers during the afternoon game drive. You will return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and to spend the night after the afternoon game drive.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Amboseli national park.

On the fifth of 7 days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli safari. Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast. After breakfast, check out of the lodge and travel to Amboseli National Park in Kenya, another wonderful and rewarding wildlife location. As you enter Amboseli, you will be welcomed by stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its snow-capped summit.

You will arrive in Amboseli National Park during lunch time. And take your lunch. After lunch, you will check into your lodge. Later, you will go on an afternoon game drive around the park, where you can see vast herds of animals like elephants, warthogs, giraffes, and hartebeests, among others. You’ll head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay in the evening after the afternoon game drive.

Day 6: Full day in Amboseli.

On the sixth of 7 days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli safari. Wake up early in the morning and take a leisurely breakfast. After a leisurely breakfast, meet your safari guide and head to the park for a full-day game drive that will take you over nearly all of its terrain. Large herds of elephants, hippos, hartebeests, cheetahs, wild dogs, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, and lesser kudus are just a few of the animals you might see. The breathtaking vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro and its snow-capped peak are waiting for you during a safari in the park.

Your lunch will be set in one of the picnic sites in the park and then go for another game viewing experience.  After you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight in the evening.

Day 7: Amboseli to Nairobi.

On the seventh day of 7 days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli safari. Wake up early in the morning and take a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, you’ll check out of your lodge and meet your safari guide to head back to Nairobi, with the spectacular views along the way. Until you get back to Nairobi, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport in time for your trip home.
