Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda

Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda : Majority of visitors come to Uganda in order to participate in chimpanzee trekking, a popular safari activity that entails walking through the tropical forests of Uganda in search of chimpanzees. An early morning orientation or briefing regarding chimpanzee trekking’s possible guidelines and rules to follow while carrying out an activity is the first step of a typical chimpanzee trekking day. After the briefing, visitors will be split into smaller groups of six and led by a tour guide through the forest along designated chimpanzee trekking tracks.

Chimpanzee trekking can last anywhere from 30 minutes to three hours, depending on the location of the animals themselves (chimpanzees are constantly on the move as they forage for food), and once you’ve located a family, you’ll get to spend an hour with them in their natural habitat, where you can watch them interact with one another, play, groom, feed their young, and build nests.
