From the exciting Wildebeest Migrations in Masai Mara to the mesmerizing pink flamingos on Lake Nakuru, heartwarming cultural experiences in Samburu, and the famous Elephant herds in Amboseli, Kenya has a lot to offer. Kenya is the place to go if you want to go on an adventure vacation. It’s not surprising that it was the first country to talk about the “African Big Five.” In case you were asking, the “Big Five” animals in Africa are African elephants, African buffaloes, African rhinos, African lions, and African leopards. Let’s look at the top places in Kenya for a tour;

Maasai Mara National Reserve.

The best place to go on vacation in Kenya is the Maasai Mara. It is in the southwestern part of Kenya, right next to the Serengeti national park in Tanzania. The Mara is known for its beautiful savannah scenery and has the most wildlife in all of Africa. Do you want to see big cats, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and other large animals? Maasai Mara National Reserve gives you everything. And the Wildebeest Migration is so exciting. This is one of the most famous things to do in the Mara. Every year from July to October, millions of grazing animals, mostly wildebeest, leave Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and cross the Mara River in search of water and green grass. When people go on safari to the area, the migration is likely the most exciting thing they will see. Maasai Mara should be at the top of your list if you want to go on a great tour in Kenya.

Do not miss out on the amazing Maasai cultural adventures. Go to a Maasai Boma to learn about their culture, watch their traditional dances, and maybe even eat some of their food.

The lake is known for the large groups of pink flamingos that gather there, but the Park is also home to many other bird species that will make your safari to watch birds interesting. The Park has great views of the rift valley escarpment, Lake Nakuru, and a savannah scenery with Euphorbia trees scattered here and there.

Lake Nakuru National Park is also a safe place for white rhinos, black rhinos, and Rothschild’s Giraffes, all of which are on the verge of extinction. Lions, leopards, impalas, antelopes, bush bucks, and baboons are some of the other animals that can be seen in Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru National Park is an excellent destination to see birds, animals, and other sights. Also, the Park has great campsites and lodges where you can stay comfortably and eat wonderful food.

In addition to the big animals, the area is home to some of Kenya’s rarest animals. In fact, there are five animals called the “Samburu five.” They are Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Gerenuk, and Beisa Oryx.

Over 450 bird types have been seen in Samburu. The area is also home to the Samburu, who have always lived as nomadic herders.
