Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is a magnificent safari destination located in the western region of Uganda in the districts of Rubirizi, Kamwenge, Rukungiri, and Kasese. Queen Elizabeth National Park encompasses an area of approximately 1,978 square kilometres. The park is a sanctuary for an abundance of biodiversity, including over 600 bird species and over 95 mammal species, including the well-known tree-climbing lions of the Ishasha sector. There are also elephants, leopards, buffaloes, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, hyenas, and topis.

 Wildlife.

Queen Elizabeth national park is a natural sanctuary that provides visitors with the best opportunities to observe animal species. the Park is home to over 95 mammal species, 600 avian species, reptiles, insect species, and other species. The park is also home to more than 4,000 elephants and 2,000 bison, making them among the most magnificent animals in the world.

Tree Climbing Lions.

Climbing lions are relatively uncommon and enigmatic in East Africa. Both Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park and Tanzania’s Lake Manyara National Park are home to tree-climbing lions.
