For wildlife enthusiasts, the ultimate vacation awaits with a 3-day Uganda safari to Murchison Falls National Park, the country’s largest safari park. Here, visitors have the chance to witness all five of the iconic “big five” animals in just one excursion.

 Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park safari.

The 3-day Murchison Falls National Park Safari begins with a warm welcome from your safari guide, followed by a scenic road trip to the park, offering opportunities to interact with locals and purchase local produce. Optionally, you can choose to go rhino trekking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary en route to the park, with lunch served in Luwero or Masindi town. Upon arrival at Murchison Falls National Park, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the falls and surrounding wildlife. Depending on your schedule, you may board the ferry to the park and check into your lodge, where an evening game drive is also an option. Meals are provided throughout the journey. The entire journey takes approximately 5-6 hours.

 

Day 2: Full day Murchison falls National Park.

The second day of the 3-day Murchison Falls National Park Safari begins with an early breakfast, essential for spotting wildlife before they retreat. A game drive lasting several hours offers opportunities to see a variety of creatures including lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, and more. Following lunch and relaxation at the lodge, embark on an exciting boat safari along the River Nile, encountering crocodiles, hippos, antelopes, and birds. The boat journey continues to the top of the falls, offering a spectacular view enhanced by rainbows. After the cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay, preparing for the journey back to Kampala the next day.

 

Day 3: Return.

On the third day of the 3-day Murchison Falls tour, guests will rise early for breakfast before receiving instructions from their guide regarding the return trip to Kampala. A final game drive through the park will be conducted before departing, followed by a ferry ride and scenic drive to Kampala. Lunch will be provided en route, either in Luwero Town or Masindi Town, offering spectacular views. Upon arrival in Kampala, guests have the option to embark on a city tour before continuing to Entebbe Airport or their hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. The return journey typically takes a minimum of 5-6 hours.
