Day 1: Transfer to Ruhengeri.
The first day of the four-day Rwanda double gorilla trekking safari starts with a pickup from Kigali International Airport or a location within Kigali City by your safari guide. The guide will provide a warm welcome and brief you on safety regulations for your stay in Rwanda. You’ll then transfer to Ruhengeri for relaxation and lunch at your lodge. In the evening, you’ll participate in community walks to observe local life, including visits to plantations. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge.

Day 2: First Gorilla Trekking.
On the second day of your four-day Rwanda double gorilla trekking safari, your guide will collect you after an early breakfast to embark on an adventure in Volcanoes National Park. Here, you’ll engage in the park’s remarkable gorilla trekking program, bringing along a packed lunch for the journey. Upon arrival at the park, you’ll attend a briefing at the park headquarters, receiving essential information about gorilla trekking protocols and regulations. The trek involves hiking through the Virunga Mountains to locate various gorilla families, offering opportunities to spot diverse bird species like the long-crested eagle, handsome Francolin, ground robin, African Rwenzori, double collared sunbird, and marsh harrier. Additionally, encounters with various primate species promise unforgettable experiences. Upon finding a gorilla family, you’ll spend an hour observing their behaviors, including feeding and grooming, ensuring a memorable Rwanda gorilla tour. After the activities, you’ll return to the starting point to receive gorilla trekking certificates before being driven back to the lodge by your safari guide for dinner, relaxation, and overnight stay.

Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking.
On the third day of your 4-day Rwanda double gorilla trekking safari, you’ll start early with breakfast before your guide picks you up from your lodge. With packed lunch in hand, you’ll head to Volcanoes National Park for your second gorilla trekking experience. Spending one hour with the gorillas, you’ll observe their behavior and capture photos. After this memorable activity, you’ll return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer back to Kigali City.

The final day of the 4-day Rwanda double gorilla trekking safari begins with an early morning breakfast before being picked up by your guide in Kigali City. You’ll have the option to either head directly to Kigali International Airport or a location of your choice in the city. Alternatively, if time permits, you can opt for a Kigali city tour. This tour may include visits to significant sites such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum, offering insights into the Rwanda genocide, as well as exploring Kimironko market, the largest market in Rwanda. After the city tour, you’ll enjoy lunch before being transferred to your departure point, marking the end of your memorable 4-day adventure.
