5 Days Serengeti Wildlife and Maasai Cultural Safari : A five days Serengeti wildlife and Maasai culture safari takes visitors to several locations in northern Tanzania, including Serengeti National Park and Lake Manyara National Park. During this five days Tanzania safari, you will get a real Maasai experience and learn about their distinctive way of life and culture. You will also go on morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti and Lake Manyara national parks.
Throughout the safari, you will search for various animal species in Serengeti and Lake Manyara national parks, including zebras, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, giraffes, hippos, antelopes, and elephants.
Highlights
Day 1: pick up and drive to Lake Manyara national park.
On the 1st day of 5 days Serengeti wildlife and Maasai cultural safari. When you arrive at your Arusha hotel, your guide will greet you and take and brief you about the safari. Along with a briefing, you will set off to visit Lake Manyara National Park. On your way to the national park, you will stop in the town of Mto wa Mbu. You will be driven to your lodge for check in and for lunch.
After lunch, you will go on a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, where you will search for a variety of wildlife species, including hippos, zebras, waterbucks, giraffes, monkeys, and tree-climbing lions. After a game drive, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: transfer to Serengeti national park.
On the 2nd day of your safari your guide will pick you up from your lodge after breakfast you will check out from your lodge. You will be driven by your guide from the lodge to Serengeti National Park, where you will take lunch and check in.
After lunch, you will embark on an afternoon game drive through the endless plains of Serengeti National Park, searching for various wildlife species such as giraffes, kudu, dik dik, impalas, gazelles, hartebeests, lions, leopards, buffalos, and antelopes. After a game drive, you will be driven back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti national park.
On the 3rd day of 5 days Serengeti wildlife and Maasai cultural safari. In order to be ready for a full day of game viewing in the Serengeti National Park, you will have an early breakfast at your lodge. Beginning with an early morning game drive across the national park, you will hunt for various wildlife species in the wide Serengeti grassland, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, buffalos, and elephants. After your early morning game drive, you will eat lunch.
After lunch, you are going to participate in a final game drive in Serengeti national park to appreciate the gorgeous surroundings as you search for wildlife species like the big 5 which include elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalos and leopards. After spending a full day visiting the Serengeti National Park, you will return to your lodge. Dinner and the night will be spent at the lodge.
Day 4: drive to Arusha.
On the 4th day of 5 days Serengeti wildlife and Maasai cultural safari. Get up early in the morning and take breakfast. After an early breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park, your guide will drive you from the savannah plains of the national park as you look out at various wildlife species on your way to your hotel in Arusha. When you get to your hotel in Arusha, you’ll check in and get ready for lunch.
You will spend the rest of the day unwinding at your hotel where you will have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Maasai cultural experience and end of safari.
On the 5th day of 5 days Serengeti wildlife and Maasai cultural safari.You will have breakfast early at your lodge as you prepare for a Maasai cultural experience at Olpopongi. During your safari, you will get a distinctive Maasai experience and learn more about the way of life. Along with taking a traditional meal, you will participate in a Maasai village tour.
Along with learning Maasai hunting tactics, Maasai medicine, and Maasai fauna, you will also participate in a walking safari within Maasai land. After this encounter, your safari will come to a close when you return to Arusha and are dropped off at the airport by your guide.
